Around the world, there are probably a zillion things miniaturized, or so it seems. Here are a few pictures I took of the world's everyday objects shrunken down.
Please share! Everyone could use a little tiny in their life!
Ok, everyone! The moment you have been waiting for, Tiny Washcloth! You can scale the pattern up or down, add more stitches or rows, or use multi-colored yarn, which in my opinion, looks really cool. This pattern is for anyone, but especially for someone who just learned the basics of knitting, and is about to enter the amazing world of tiny...
Tiny Washcloth Pattern:
Washcloth: With color #1: CO 7 stitches onto 1 needle to work straight. Knit 8 rows. BO all stitches.
Features: With color #2: Using the black yarn, embroider eyes using two vertical stitches for each eye, placing them just below the bind-off row in the bumpy parts. They should be about a stitch apart.
Finishing: Weave in loose ends.
There are personalities in every toy you knit, or so it seems. I'm making a bunch of little profiles and putting it in the "Tiny, Friends, & More" section. I made Tiny and Baby Chickie (B.C.) from my own patterns I made. Mother Hen, Teensy, and Monkey were made from patterns from my favorite knitting book, Teeny-Tiny Mochimochi by Anna Hrachovec!
Hello there! Welcome to my little world of wonder. I'm Phia,(sometimes known as Tiny) a fourteen year-old knitter and crocheter that especially loves making tiny things. I also enjoy dance, gymnastics, drawing, writing, photography, and a ton of other things, especially fun! My favorite color, if you couldn't guess, is orange, though I honestly love anything colorful. ^_^
I currently design tiny amigurumi things.
As you are following this blog, beware of my extreme procrastination. (Hehehe...)
Here's a little glimpse of my photography journey on Flickr...
We also have a Ravelry Group!
I may have mentioned that I love writing. If I didn't, now you know! I'm currently writing a series called Abracadabee, so here is a preview!
"When will you come back, momma?"
"When your job is done. Bye Leesee, I'll miss you."
"WAIT! What's my job?"
An Abracadabee is a rare person who has ghostly powers. One whose parent has strong enough power will pass it down to their child. Now, they are being searched for. They all had to split up in different cities and find their gift. Their job. Leesee spent those last three years seeking that. She may spend her whole life, unless the environment trusts her as someone they truly don't know. Someone that isn't her.
Chapter#1: The Mystery on Earth
Chapter#2: Thoughts to Fly Past
Chapter#3: Diary Be Gone
Even though this book is going slow, I plan to publish it one day. That unfortunately means I can't post any more of the chapters. Sorry about that! I'll be sure to post some illustrations though. :)
