A young tiny girl is standing on a high hill. You see her whispering, but you can not make out the words. The clock struck midnight. As you watch her carefully, she seems to be saying, "Gone forever..." The wind and rain combine and create a storm. A muffled, ominous song starts to play. As the girl's long wavy hair blows freely in the wind, she closes her eyes. You can't hear her through the window, but she appears to be saying, "Spirit be gone..." The icy wind turns black, and surrounds the girl. She vanishes. "Evil..." whispers the wind. "Stolen..."
Chapter#1: The Mystery on Earth
Leesee lived her life as something to avoid. Being in charge of battling evil made her an Abracadabee; a human with ghostly powers. From what her mother told her three years ago, her family was part of the hundred Abracadabee roaming the earth. She was rare. She remembered the exact day her mom told her.
"Because of a nosy scientist's son, our kind is at risk. Master warned everyone. An evil spirit took away Liza, and apparently, the scientist's son saw it. 'Tis Master who knows everything....Liza was a terrible loss..." whispered Leesee's mother. A tear dripped down her cheek.
"Can I meet Master?" asked Leesee, not aware of what was going on.
"No. Too young. Too naïve. Besides, that is not the point."
"But why are you sad, mother?"
"I know you may not understand this, but your sister may never be seen again. Our kind is being searched by police and detectives."
"So? I--"
"Shush. I am in a hurry. You are rare and talented. You are able to locate yourself at the park, but appear to be running to the store. You can deceive the eyes of people. You can vanish and you can defeat spirits just by controlling the wind. You have so many skills at a young age. We need you to develop those skills and stay strong. Every single Abracadabee will guard and roam an area. You will roam this city. I will travel somewhere else. All Abracadabee are separating to protect our kind and find their certain gift. They are protecting the earth. Good-bye, Leesee. We will meet again.”
A tear rolled down Leesee's cheek. She thought she would never see her mother again.
"When will you come back, mother?"
"When your job is done. Bye Leesee, I'll miss you."
"WAIT! What's my job?"
It was too late. Her mother vanished in the wind, leaving only her words behind. The sun hid behind the dark gray clouds. Leesee knew evil was lurking in the shadows of the town, but she just couldn’t figure out where. Her mother hadn’t warned her about the possible evil in the streets on Earth. Leesee closed her eyes and whispered unfamiliar words in another language. Those were the words used to surround with wind and banish any evil except for one no one ever saw: Black Wind. Leesee was sure it was a myth. She was positive, actually. She figured whatever it was, was long gone.
Still to this day, Leesee spent those three years finding her job. Now eleven, Leesee strolled across the freezing cold street, hidden by blankets and thick cloaks, seeking her unfinished job.
The sun hid behind the dark gray clouds hinting something was wrong. Something had to be fixed.
