First and Last Post of the Year!

Wow. 2017. What a year.
Not like many of you guys would know because I completely disappeared and took like...
THE LONGEST BREAK EVER.
I came back though because I missed creating stuff and sharing it with you guys. There might not be many of you there but...that's okay. It's all good man.

It's been a while since I've successfully finished something on my own. So I present to you...
Picture
MY BABY MOUSE!!! Sorry for the weird angles. It was the only way to catch the natural light. And there wasn't very many. But just think of it as her staring into the distance...reflecting on what a year it has been...and how she magically transformed from a bit of yarn in a crate...to this little adorable baby...
Oh man I'm starting to tear up... :')
Picture
She's always rolling over and stuff but that's only because I was too lazy to add her legs. I'm probably gonna keep it that way though. It's all in the style. *insert cool face with shades*
Picture
Not sure what I'll name her yet. Maybe...B.M.? For...Baby Mouse? Hmm. Let's go with that for now.
Well, now that we got something for 2017, I just wanted to wish y'all a Happy New Year! And a Merry Belated Christmas. (Is that even a thing?) Much love to whoever is reading this. Hopefully I'll be back soon. I guess we'll see though. Either way, stay tuned to what could be coming!
♡
Okay byeeee!!! ^-^

Orange You Glad I'm Back?

This joke will make a little more sense when you see what I finished this morning.
Picture
It's Tiny Orange! If you squint your eyes just a wee bit and look a little closer, you'll see she has an even tinier friend...perhaps a baby Orangey? ^_^
I used the the adorable Orangey pattern by Sarah of A Little Bit to Knit. :)
Of course, being obsessed in tiny and orange, I wasn't going to make just one, right? So I decided to make an even teensier, tinier, wee little orange that just barely fit at the tip of my finger.
Picture
I'm pretty excited on how it turned out! Due to the simplicity of the design, it didn't take that long, even for such a teeny tiny orange. I used a single strand of six embroidery thread, and my 0.4 mm crochet hook. I did start it off, however, with my slightly bigger 1.1 mm hook to loosen the stitches at the beginning. While doing that made it a tiny bit pointy at the bottom, it definitely made it a lot easier starting it off since I could easily find the stitches and increase.
Picture
They seem to be staring at...a speck of dust? Haha.
But oh my gosh this picture is actually my 10,000th picture taken on my camera!!! :o
Man, I take a lot of pictures...

Where have you Been?

Hello my friends! I am finally back, on a four-day weekend! ^-^
So I've been getting tons of emails asking me what I've been up to and where have I been for the last three or four months.
Nah, I'm kidding. I don't even think I gave you guys my email. XD
But to answer the imaginary questions, I've been living life. Dancing. Trying to finish homework.
And procrastinating. I think that pretty much sums up everything, right?

Though I haven't been knitting or crocheting much lately, I hope you enjoy some of the recent desk stuff I have.
And don't worry, I'll be knitting and crocheting stuff real soon. :)

I decided to take this free time today and clear up my desk. See, when you're cleaning a normal person's desk, it's mainly papers and stuff. But with my desk, there were books, a unfinished projects, stuff of inspiration, and loads of yarn, which is probably faster to clean than piles of papers, but just as messy.
I did, however, rip a small project that I wanted to start over. And you know what that means...

Yes. RAMEN NOODLES PART 2! ^_^ (Here's Pt. 1.) The funny thing is, I had ramen right after I assembled this amazing tiny-yarn-ramen bowl.
Picture
Yay!!! Not as big as the first one, but the yarn fits perfectly in this tiny Asian Bowl that we use for soy sauce.
Includes toothpick chopsticks...
Picture
Picture
...and Micro Gnome and Micro Heart, of course! They kinda just snuck in.
Picture
On Friday I made this little sketch because I was really bored and I wanted to get inspired. I tried to incorporate as many cuteness and tininess as possible. ^-^

Lately I've been pretty obsessed with Kawaii (cute in Japanese) stuff, so I combined the amazingness of ramen noodles, my half-asian-ness, yarn, photoshop, tiny, and kawaii, getting...

Hello February!

What? It's already February? Wow...ok...

Anyways, I'm really sorry I've been so inactive lately. I'm constantly falling behind on stuff, so I won't be posting as much as I used to (not that I've posted that often anyways...) in previous years. I'm hoping to go on a knitting/crochet shopping spree soon, but patience is key. :)

So January...it was pretty cool. ^-^
Even though I didn't win, I got in the finals for the 2015 Mochimochi Land Photo Contest!!! :o
Picture
See? I'm the one in the right corner. My micro heart, gnome, reindeer, and tiny mailbox made it!
Picture
Here's a close-up. :) I actually like how this photo came out, and I even took it on my iPod! The sun was about to set, and I got pretty panicked, but my iPod was able to balance the bright yellow light better than my camera, so I used this pic. Yaaaaaay!

I tried to make a video, but it was really shaky and I didn't have as much time as I had last year. I probably should have given myself more time, but I'll make sure to squeeze in a stop-motion video for this year, whether it's for the Mochimochi Land Contest, or just for fun.
So what I have been working on, you ask? Well...Math Homework. Hehehe...
I'm working a tiny bit on the Teensy Baby Dragon pattern I started a few months ago, but I still need to edit and revise my written version, which is currently an on-and-off process.
I need to knit and crochet a little more often than what I'm doing right now...I've been super busy, but I did finish a little something recently...
Picture
Here is my Amigurumi Cupcake Pincushion! I used this cute pattern found I found here. I don't have a lot of pins, so this is where I'll put my pins in the meantime. I loved the idea of using eyeshadow for the cheeks. Creative stuff, I'm telling ya. :)
Ok, that's all for now! I'll try my best not to fall asleep in class, work more on some future projects & patterns, and enjoy life. Catch up with you all later!

New Year More Fun?

1/9/2016

Happy Thanksgiving!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Am I caught up with the holidays and seasons and stuff?
I sure hope so. ^-^ Anyways, holy crap...2015 went by faster than I anticipated. It just flew over my head, and I barely realized it, but it's been a pretty fun year.
It's just...you probably wouldn't know, since I haven't been posting as often as I used to.

This is why I'm going to include that in a list of goals (in no particular order) to accomplish for this year. :)
So here goes!

Time Management

Hey, look at that! The same problem I've been having for like...my whole life. I know I will always find something to procrastinate on, but I want to make sure I do that in moderation and don't die putting off one homework assignment to find out the next day that I have 10 more to finish. I also need to focus on my work better. I could apply this to knitting, crocheting, and pretty much...anything. :o

Committment

So this one is for the blog, and for tasks in general. I need to find time to post more stuff to you guys! I also need to commit to any assignments I'm working on, or like...ya know...cleaning the house.

Step away from the Phone!!!

Pretty self-explanatory. I need to get my butt off the couch and do something other than texting or playing games on a computerized device. I'll watch a movie every now and then, but if I have time to waste time, I should have time to do something else that's useful, like homework, productive hobby stuff, etc.

Fun!

I noticed that this year, I was bored...a lot. Yet at the same time I never could get my work done. Strange, right? That's why, I'm gonna try to find fun. Maybe I could travel to more places, even if it's just to Walmart. XD
I'll venture out in the backyard, or call up some friends to come over. It doesn't matter, as long as life is enjoyed.

Overall Improvement!

This is pretty much a goal to cover like 40 different mini goals. I want to improve myself in general, and get better at the things I do, like knitting, crocheting, homework, dancing, photography, drawing, designing, writing, being kind, etc. I know that'll take some work, but that's what time is for, right? :)

Ok. Gonna find some fun and commit to my time management skills to improve myself on staying away from too much technology and making myself the best me I can be. Ayyyeee see what I did there? X)
Well, enjoy life! :)

Christmas Countdown...

Ok. Guys. I am finally back. With really exciting news.
IT'S CHRISTMAS BREEAAAK!!! Yaaaay. Am I right? :)
I've been extremely inactive lately because of school stuff. Homework stuff. And just...stuff. So I want to make it up to you all by posting now while I have time. ^_^

So back in late November I showed you a picture of a micro-knitting-in-progress. I finished it just in time for the 2015 Mochimochi Photo Contest!
Picture
It's my second micro mochi, and you could find the post for the first one here.
I'm pretty excited on how it turned out! It's soooo tiny, at only about a 1/2 an inch long... :o
It was pretty challenging with all those yarn-overs and color changes in the icords, but it's possible! You see, at first, when I saw the yarn-over holes, I got scared that I made a mistake. But then I remembered, as I skimmed through the rest of the pattern, they were supposed to be there! They were for the legs and antlers!
That's when I realized the power and usefulness of yarn-overs! Lol. :)
Picture
Here's the final picture! :)  I took a ton from my camera, but since the sun was just about to set, it was way too yellow. My iPod had the colors more balanced out, so I used this picture. ^_^
Picture
To add to the excitement of Christmas, and every other holiday coming around the corner, here are some sparkly Christmas Lights from my Christmas tree. If you couldn't tell, I'm really a fan of bokeh! :)

Well, that's all for now! Enjoy life, and I'll check in with you all later!

Amazingness.

With Thanksgiving being a couple days ago, it was kinda hard to post since I didn't have a computer...

Until yesterday! ^-^ My mom and I went to Best Buy yesterday for our first Apple computer! It'll take a little while to get used to, considering I've been using Windows for a long time now, but everyone needs a little change every now and then...
Right? :D
I forgot...we also got one more thing.

A PRINTER!!!

I was freaking out. Technically I still am. X) It's been one of those things where you plan to get one and it never happens, until you decide to go shopping at Best Buy during Black Friday. :)
Once we finally set up the printer, I freaked out (again), then printed this collection of kawaii pictures* that I found from Google Images. I saved my favorites, put them on Word, and voila!  I have a paper full of kawaii stuff!!!

*Please note that all graphics belong to their rightful owners and this was for personal use only. ^-^

I've been in a slight planner phase lately, and it's actually pretty enjoyable! Decorating is like my meditation...
Before I attempt to finish all the stuff that I wrote down. :o
But anyways, here's a planner that I still have yet to fill with all my stuff to finish. :)
I just cut out the picture I wanted and used my adhesive roll ( you could use a glue stick or tape) to stick it on the page I was on. I also added some washi tape to go along with the kawaii stickers.
Picture
You may have noticed the book behind my planner...Teeny-Tiny Mochimochi by Anna Hrachovec!
Picture
I'm working on another micro mochi at the moment...can you guess what it is? :)
I'll show you all a bunch of pictures when I'm finished, I promise!

Well, that's all for now! Enjoy life and have an awesome weekend!

Pattern in Production Pt. 1!!!

11/11/2015

Hey guys!!! Happy Veteran's Day! Thanks for all the service members who helped out our country. :)

On this amazing day off, I decided to plan out my color scheme for three Baby Dragons!
Picture
You might remember this little fellow, Baby Cuddles! Remember how I said that I would write out a pattern? Well, before that, I like planning out yarn color schemes.
With my KnitPicks Palette yarn, and I narrowed it down to these colors for three more baby dragons...
Picture
I'm writing down color combinations...so this is pretty much my desk status.
Picture
Yarn on my desk inspires me for some reason. Probably since it reminds me that I have a lot of WIPs and new projects to start. :)
Speaking of projects...I finished a tiny one last Monday!
Picture
A Tiny Mailbox from Mochimochiland! ^_^ It even delivered a micro crochet heart!
Well, that's all for now! I'm all over the place, so I'm about to update my little planner and work on some homework, plus WIPs that I'll reveal real soon. :) Have a nice day! Check in with ya later!

Halloween 2015!

Hey guys! After yet another month absense, I'm back to the blog just in time for Halloween. ^_^
So Happy Halloween guys!!!

I have a pretty scary story to tell.
The car pulled in. The garage opened. The girl came out of the car from dance class that night.
All of a sudden, she hears whispering. Discussion. Her brother. He's apologizing profusely. She goes to the kitchen and sees...
THAT THE COMPUTER WON'T START!!! :o

Yeah...the computer isn't starting for some reason, so here is my pretty much first post where everything is from on my tiny little iPod! Honestly, I'm pretty excited. Yay!!!
Another amazing thing: FIVE DAY WEEKEND!!!

Anyways, I have some good news and some bad news when it comes to going on my iPod for website stuff. Let's start off with the bad news...the pictures probably won't be as high quality since I'm using my iPod instead of my camera.
On the bright side, however, I'll probably to post waaaay more often since I don't have to wait for my turn on the computer. I could just go on my iPod!
Seriously...why haven't I thought of this before?

In case you're wondering what I've been doing for the past day or two off from school, I've been resewing my ribbons for my pointe shoes, and watching the World Series and Halloweentown.

To get in the Falloween (see what I did there?) spirit, I put up some tiny decors and stuff in my room. :)
Picture
Picture
So this is my money tree. ^-^ It's pretty much some cloth flowers in a basket that I got a couple years ago. It's light, plus it doesn't break! I just put some random money I get, and a few cough drops, because you never know when you'll need one...
The top pic has some adorable Christmas ornaments that I found at Target a few years ago, and the bottom pic has a Tiny Mochimochiland Gnome that I made a couple months ago. They really made my tiny basket of flowers interesting, don't ya think?
Picture
Meet Pumpkin, my little pumpkin cup pottery that I made in Geography.
Picture
The back is Mayan for the number 17, just because I like that number for some reason. The handle was pretty disorted, but eh, I still like how it turned out.
At last! The final decoration I present to you is...
Gel Cling...Things....You know what I mean, right?
Picture
They really give life to your window!

As with knitting/crocheting progress...I've been working on a Tiny Mailbox from Teeny-Tiny Mochimochi!
Picture
It's kind of strange how messy my desk can get from a tiny knitted mailbox. :)
Anyways, I have to go! Halloween is calling...
Stay safe and enjoy life! Happy Halloween!!!

Life.

Ok. I'll admit that I fell off the face of the earth. Or so it seems. But I'm back now.

So hello!

Above this is a picture of amazing orange roses. From July. ^-^

But anyways...I haven't been active lately, and I'm really sorry about that.
School started a about a month ago, and I've been pretty busy adjusting to the changes and drama that is thrown in our face.

Yup...I've been planning and working on a ton of projects (and trying to clean the house), while adjusting to school, and a bunch of stuff like that, so please bare with me.

I'm also trying to find a blogging schedule that I could also be flexible with, since posting once a month isn't exactly working. Hehehe...sorry about that.
I was thinking...would you guys like it if I posted more, even if it didn't have to do with knitting/crocheting? Or posted some reeeeaaaally late projects that I finished ages ago in August? I haven't posted in forever, so I'm kind of imagining all these future projects and stuff in my head.

They just haven't appeared on here yet.

So this is pretty much a post to show you all...

That I'm still here. No matter how crazy my schedule is.
I'll do my best to show you a few projects I finished when it's the weekend. But we shall see.

Enjoy life! :)

    About Me:

Hey guys it's Phia! Welcome to my little online world. I'm a 15 year-old knitter and crocheter that especially loves making tiny things. I also enjoy dance, drawing, writing, photography, kawaii stuff...well there's more cuz it's a long list. You might occasionally see some of those things on here too. Oh yeah, and if you couldn't guess, my favorite color is orange. ^-^
I try to design my own patterns every now and then...I'm currently in the tiny amigurumi field.

As you are following this blog, beware of my extreme procrastination. I used to laugh at this but it's a serious issue.

Aaaand...if you're curious of my photography and stuff you could check out my Flickr if ya want. :)
